The Rio Grande Art Association (www.rgaanm.org) invites you to enter their annual juried painting exhibition ¡ENCANTADA! 2018 to be held at the Hispanic Arts Building, EXPO New Mexico, 300 San Pedro NE Albuquerque, NM 87108, during the month of October 2018. ¡Encantada! is open to all artists over the age of 18. This is a juried national exhibition, not limited to New Mexico residents. Cash Awards—$1000 1st place, $500 2nd place, $300 3rd place with additional Awards of Excellence, cash and merchandise also presented.

Native Basket Array Contest (deadline 6/29/18)

Sacred Wind Communications/Connect 66 Internet is hosting a contest for New Mexico artists entitled “Native Basket Array.”

New Mexico artists must submit original paintings of a Native American tray basket.

Winning designs will be displayed outdoors in Milan and Grants. The winning artists will each receive $1,000.

Copies of the winners’ paintings will be wrapped on satellite dishes and be installed along old Route 66.

The submission deadline is Friday, June 29, 2018 by 5 p.m.
